Very good question. We are designing a 100% new website that should be online by Nov 1st. I’ve asked our designers to look into the possibility of adding Google +1 badges to the site (thanks for the idea).

Jenn,

You ask some very good questions:
– Our store does not consign toys. The store is simply to small for anything but clothing (…we have about 1500sq feet for kids clothing). We are looking to expand the store floor size so that we can add items like toys and car seats.
– As for pricing, it can be hard getting pricing just right as we have two groups looking at prices: Consigners (owners of the clothing) and buyers. Price items to low and consigners are not getting a fair price on their clothing. Price items to high and buyers are not getting a fair price and simply will not buy (and why should they?). So we’re constantly trying to find a happy middle, where both the consigner and the buyer are happy with the pricing.

As for items ‘like-new with tags’: The tags show the item has never been worn and so should be as good as new. As for sick kids; even new clothing, at chain retail store, is exposed to sick kids…so I guess it’s just something we all must live with.

Im confused. I guess Jersey spoiled me. but I thought children consignment included items that children use. and clothing isnt not the only thing? Is this something that you will be adding like toys? cause there are many people out there with toys not touched by their children that would be pointless to do yard sales. and are not on list of recalls? Before I waste my gas, what kind of prices are there. are they 2 t0 10 or are the high price for consignment clothing that is still considered used once in someones. Under my opinion, children still coughed or got sick around these items even with tags. So, what are the policies of this establishment that would appeal to someone like me who has been force to relocate to virginia because of a natures way of washing everything away? Because your site has not answered my questions about your establishment.

Hi there; howcome your website does not have Google +1 badges on every one of your weblog pages. What I have found at my blog is that a good deal of viewers are very happy to use those because it simply is one action that is required. And clearly that is a highly useful message to Google about the interest in each and every page and as such it does help you significantly!
